Bearings

Ball Bearing

Ball bearing is a type of Bearings that uses balls to maintain the separation between the bearing races. The purpose of a ball bearing is to reduce rotational friction and support radial and axial loads.Ball bearings tend to have lower load capacity for their size than other kinds of rolling-element bearings due to the smaller contact area between the balls and races. However, they can tolerate some misalignment of the inner outer races.

Needle Bearing

A needle roller bearing is a special type of roller bearing which uses long, thin cylindrical rollers resembling needles. Ordinary roller bearings' rollers are only slightly longer than their diameter, but needle bearings typically have rollers that are at least four times longer than their diameter.

Housing Units

A pillow block usually refers to a housing with an included anti-friction bearing. . A pillow block may contain a bearing with one of several types of rolling elements, including ball, cylindrical roller, spherical roller, tapered roller, or metallic or synthetic bushing. The type of rolling element defines the type of pillow block. These differ from "plumber blocks" which are bearing housings supplied without any bearings and are usually meant for higher load ratings and a separately installed bearing.

Cylindrical Roller Bearing

In this type of bearings, rolling elements are cylindrical rollers. this type of bearings have a line contact on races ;they are in cylindrical shape which ultimately carries higher radial load compares to ball bearings with the same sizes.Due to detachable design character, they have an advantage of mounting inner ring and outer ring separately.

Thrust Ball Bearing

thrust ball bearings have two whasers , one is shaft whaser and the other one is housing washer. the bore of shaft washer is one of the shaft size, and the bore of housing washer is slightly larger than shaft washer to facilitate free rotation of the shaft. These bearings can accept only thrust loads in single direction . These type can accept only thrust loads in both directions.

Tapper Roller Beraing

these bearing are made with a tapered profile. These bearings can be separated into components, i.e. outer ring (cup), and the combined inner ring and roller assembly (cone).

tappered roller bearings have capacity to carry large amount of radial and axial load in one directions. these bearings also available in inch sizes.

Spherical Roller Bearing

Spherical roller bearing inner ring has two raceways and outer raceways and outer ring has spherical raceway. Rolling elements are spherical shaped rollers. Inner ring with roller assemply alighns in the Spherical raceway  of outer ring. These type of bearings have self alighning charaecter and can comfortably withstand minor shaft deflections and misalighnment.

Thrust Roller Bearing

Thrust roller bearings sustain only axial loads, but they are suitable for heavy loads and have high axial rigidity.Spherical thrust roller bearings can carry high axial loads. They can also support radial load These bearings cannot be used for high
speed applications.  The standard cages used are copper alloy
machined cage and in some cases also have molded cages

Spherical Plain Bearing

Sperical plain Bearing is a bearing that permits angular rotation about a central point in two orthogonal directions (usually within a specified angular limit based on the bearing geometry). Typically these bearings support a rotating shaft in the [bore] of the inner ring that must move not only rotationally, but also at an angle.
